Tomorrow is your birthday..oh how I wish you were here..
I miss your smile and your scent that I would hold so near..
This is the first time I don't have you near..
on this occasion that God gave me you.. for so many years..
God also created you to bring forth life to 7 wonderful, beautiful kids..
Such a beautiful mother you were..
and a beautiful mother I want to be..
because you planted the seed
that made me.. and my beautiful family.

Exodus 20:12

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.



This is binding as long as your mother lives. Another command says children, obey…non-binding when you leave home, but “honor” is different! If the husband is the head of the home, then the mother is the heart...don’t break her heart!



And remember the Bible says nothing about that qualification…it only asks, is she your mother!

It’s the only one of the 10 commandments which includes a built-in promise of blessing!
